Typical Day in Treatment

Wake Up

Each day, we wake up at 6:30 AM. Consistently waking up around the same time each day provides structure and contributes to healthier sleep patterns.

Movement

We like to start each day by facilitating an activity that will allow you to move your body. These activities include, but are not limited to, going for walks, stretching, or yoga.

Meditation

We provide guided meditations each morning to help you find a sense of calmness before the start of each day. Meditation practices teach you how to sit with any strong emotions that may be present, while creating a new sense of awareness and comfort with yourself.

Meals

Our patients are given time within the schedule to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a main component of treatment. These groups provide recovery tools, DBT Skills, and time to process thoughts and emotions.

Alternative Practices

Our program works with a group of amazing providers in the community who come to our facility to facilitate groups on Breath work, Intuitive art, Chi Kung, Mindfulness in Recovery, and Yoga.

Individual Therapy

You will also have individual therapy sessions scheduled each week where you will receive one-on-one support from your assigned therapist.

Support Groups and Community

One of the most important things you can experience in treatment is the value of community and finding like-minded people with whom you can grow and learn. WE access SMART Recovery, AA and NA meetings, and encourage our patients to find Sponsors or Recovery Mentors.

Peer Recovery Support

At The Fearless Kind, we advocate for the value of peer support. You will receive both individual and group support from others trained as peer recovery support specialists with lived experience. This allows you to connect with others and see that recovery is possible!

Evening Reflections

Each night, we guide you in a discussion about your day – focusing on things you would like to let go of before bed. This is also your opportunity to reflect and process what you experienced or learned during the day.

Sober Fun

We allow specific time in the evenings for you to connect with others and learn how to have FUN in recovery! During this time we watch movies together, build puzzles, play games, and other fun activities!

Lights Out

Our lights out time each night is at 10:00 PM on weekdays and 10:30 pm on weekends.. Our goal is to help our patients develop healthy sleep rituals to implement when they leave treatment.

COVID-19 Updates from The Fearless Kind

While social distancing is necessary to stay safe and healthy during this COVID-19 pandemic, we understand the risks of isolation associated with those living with an addiction or eating disorder. The Fearless Kind is still open and accepting new patients at this time! If you or a loved one is struggling, we are here to help. While treatment is a big commitment, it may be one of the safest places to be during these challenging times.
